AmazonIQ Expands Live Read-Only Amazon Seller Intelligence
Order items, listing discovery, financial performance, FBA movements, and aged-inventory insights are now available through the same AmazonIQ GPT.
AmazonIQ has expanded the evidence sellers can retrieve through one seller-authorized, read-only connection. The AmazonIQ GPT can now investigate a broader set of direct Amazon data and report-backed datasets while every marketplace action remains with the seller.
What changed
The current AmazonIQ implementation adds order-item detail, seller listing discovery, deeper finance coverage, broader direct FBA inventory, and a carefully bounded set of Amazon reports. Sellers can move from a business question to the relevant returned evidence without choosing internal API operations.
Availability still depends on Amazon, the connected account, authorized roles, marketplace support, report eligibility, and the fields Amazon returns. AmazonIQ labels those limits instead of filling gaps with invented values.
Why natural-language seller intelligence matters
Seller Central data is spread across orders, listings, finance, inventory, fulfillment, and reports. AmazonIQ lets a seller ask a normal operational question and gives the GPT a way to retrieve only the relevant authorized sources, compare their signals, and recommend the next investigation.
One question can require more than one dataset. A stock-risk review, for example, may combine listing status, direct FBA inventory, inbound state, and a report that Amazon prepares asynchronously.
Orders and item details
Detailed order analysis can now include returned order items such as ASIN, seller SKU, product title, quantity, item price, tax components, order status, and FBA or MFN fulfillment. This helps connect an order header to what actually sold.
Order fields vary by order and marketplace. AmazonIQ intentionally excludes buyer names, email, phone, delivery addresses, payment details, and other restricted buyer PII.
Listing discovery and listing issues
AmazonIQ can discover seller listings without requiring a known SKU first. It can then review returned buyable and non-buyable status, discoverability, listing errors, warnings, and missing attributes.
Catalog enrichment such as images, dimensions, weight, variation relationships, competitive offers, and Featured Offer fields is available only when Amazon, the account, roles, and marketplace allow it.
Fees, refunds, reimbursements, and Amazon net proceeds
The finance workflow can organize returned transactions, Amazon fees, refunds, reimbursements, adjustments, withheld amounts, and Amazon net proceeds. Settlement reports can add Amazon-generated settlement context when a completed report is available.
Amazon net proceeds are not net profit. Recent finance events may also lag recent orders, so AmazonIQ preserves the requested period and source limitations in its explanation.
Direct FBA inventory
Eligible FBA sellers can review fulfillable, reserved, inbound, unsellable, researching, future-supply, and total inventory summaries. Existing inbound plans can add plan status and timing without creating or changing a shipment.
Inventory movements and fulfillment-center transfers
Report-backed inventory ledgers can show receipts, shipments, returns, removals, adjustments, losses, findings, damage, and fulfillment-center transfers. This gives sellers a structured way to investigate how units moved through FBA.
The presence of a movement category is evidence to investigate, not an automatic reimbursement claim or inventory action.
Aged and excess inventory
When the account and marketplace are eligible, AmazonIQ can retrieve inventory age buckets, excess units, storage exposure, aged surcharges, storage overage information, stranded inventory, and restock recommendations.
Amazon-generated estimates remain labeled as estimates. Some reports have marketplace-specific exclusions or request-frequency limits.
Reports Amazon may need time to prepare
Several FBA, storage, returns, reimbursement, performance, and traffic datasets are asynchronous. The first answer may be that Amazon is preparing the report. A pending or failed report does not by itself mean the Amazon connection is disconnected.
AmazonIQ uses bounded report processing and sanitized temporary handling. It does not expose signed report URLs, credentials, raw Amazon responses, or report identifiers in public marketing output.
Profitability with uploaded seller cost files
Amazon provides sales, fees, refunds, and net proceeds, but not a seller's full COGS or external expenses. Sellers can upload an Excel or CSV file in the AmazonIQ GPT with fields such as SKU, ASIN, unit cost, currency, freight, duty, prep, packaging, and other per-unit costs.
Combining those seller-provided costs with live Amazon data can produce grounded product contribution and profit estimates. Accuracy depends on the completeness and quality of the uploaded costs, so the result is not guaranteed net profit.
Strict read-only protections
AmazonIQ uses seller-authorized Amazon SP-API access in read-only mode. It cannot change prices, edit listings, update inventory, alter orders, issue refunds, create shipments, manage fulfillment, contact buyers, request feedback, or modify the Amazon account.
The seller stays responsible for every decision and can disconnect AmazonIQ without changing Seller Central data.
True limitations
AmazonIQ does not claim all Seller Central data, complete Account Health, full Message Center access, unrestricted reviews, restricted buyer data, direct Seller Support case management, or that every report is available for every seller.
Selected Seller Performance indicators depend on eligibility. Sales and Traffic generally requires Brand Analytics eligibility and the required role. Report data can be pending, unavailable, rate-limited, or empty for a valid request.
What requires a future separate connection
Amazon Ads and PPC are not part of the current Seller Central connection. They require a separate future Amazon Ads authorization. Notification-based alerts, richer visual dashboard intelligence, more marketplace support, and deeper profitability workflows are also future areas, with no promised delivery date.
What sellers can ask now
Sellers can ask which ASIN and SKU sold in the latest order, which listings are not buyable, what Amazon charged in fees, what inventory is reserved or inbound, what moved between fulfillment centers, whether aged stock needs attention, and which products deserve the next investigation.
The AmazonIQ GPT can also analyze seller-uploaded compliance messages, spreadsheets, and documents alongside authorized Amazon data without performing marketplace actions.
- What sold in my latest order?
- Which listings have errors or missing attributes?
- What are my Amazon net proceeds for this period?
- Which FBA units are unavailable or moving between centers?
- Use my cost file to estimate product contribution.
AmazonIQ provides read-only analysis and guidance. Sellers remain responsible for every marketplace and business decision.
