How the dashboard, GPT and What-If experience differ, what depends on Amazon eligibility, and what the read-only product intentionally does not provide.
What can AmazonIQ see?
AmazonIQ can retrieve implemented, seller-authorized read-only data for orders and items, sales, listings, finance, pricing, FBA inventory, inbound plans, inventory and storage reports, returns, reimbursements, and selected performance or traffic datasets. Availability depends on the account, marketplace, roles, and what Amazon returns.
Is AmazonIQ read-only?
Yes. AmazonIQ uses seller-authorized Amazon SP-API access in read-only mode and is designed for intelligence, evidence, and recommended investigations.
Can AmazonIQ change prices or listings?
No. It cannot edit prices, listings, inventory, orders, refunds, shipments, fulfillment settings, or buyer messages.
Can it show the ASIN and SKU from an order?
Yes, order-item retrieval can return the ASIN and seller SKU, along with title, quantity, item price, and tax components when Amazon provides those fields. Buyer PII is excluded.
Can it discover all seller listings?
AmazonIQ can discover listings without requiring a known SKU first and can include buyable, non-buyable, and issue-related status. It does not promise every Seller Central record because Amazon responses, roles, marketplaces, and result limits still apply.
Can it analyze Amazon fees and refunds?
Yes. AmazonIQ can analyze returned financial transactions, Amazon fees, refunds, reimbursements, adjustments, withheld amounts, and Amazon net proceeds. Recent financial events can be delayed.
Can it identify FBA inventory movements?
When eligible report data exists, AmazonIQ can review receipts, shipments, returns, removals, adjustments, losses, findings, damage, and fulfillment-center transfers.
Can it show aged inventory and storage information?
When Amazon supports the report for the account and marketplace, AmazonIQ can retrieve age buckets, excess units, storage estimates or charges, overage information, and recommended areas to investigate. Estimated fees remain labeled as estimates.
Why does a report sometimes take time?
Some Amazon datasets are generated asynchronously. AmazonIQ may first explain that Amazon is preparing the report. A pending or failed report does not by itself mean the Amazon account is disconnected.
Can it calculate net profit?
Amazon data can provide sales, fees, refunds, and net proceeds, but it does not contain the seller's complete COGS or external expenses. AmazonIQ can estimate product contribution when the seller supplies accurate costs, but it does not guarantee net profit.
How does the seller upload product costs?
Upload an Excel or CSV file in the AmazonIQ GPT with fields such as SKU or ASIN, unit cost, currency, freight, duty, prep, packaging, and other per-unit cost. The file can then be analyzed with live Amazon data in the conversation.
Does AmazonIQ include PPC?
Not through the current connection. Amazon Ads and PPC require a separate future Amazon Ads authorization and are not presented as live today.
Does AmazonIQ include full Account Health?
No. Eligible accounts may return selected Seller Performance indicators, but AmazonIQ does not claim complete Account Health, full Message Center access, or direct Seller Support case management.
Does AmazonIQ show buyer information?
No. Buyer names, email addresses, phone numbers, delivery addresses, payment details, and other restricted buyer PII are intentionally not shown through the product.
Is AmazonIQ affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon?
No. AmazonIQ is an independent NAVINES product. Amazon and related trademarks belong to Amazon, and AmazonIQ is not endorsed by or affiliated with Amazon.
Does the GPT depend on the dashboard being open?
No. The dashboard and GPT are independent product experiences and do not read data from each other. The GPT retrieves relevant authorized data directly through AmazonIQ Actions, so the dashboard does not need to be open.
What is the difference between the AmazonIQ Dashboard and GPT?
The dashboard presents a verified structured snapshot. The AmazonIQ GPT supports natural-language follow-up questions and investigation. They are independent experiences that can use the same seller-authorized AmazonIQ connection.
Do the dashboard and GPT require separate Amazon connections?
No. Both can use the same seller-authorized AmazonIQ Amazon connection, even though neither experience reads from or depends on the other.
How does background report intelligence refresh?
Refresh Live Data reuses matching active and completed report jobs, applies server-side cooldowns, and prepares only a fixed eligible dashboard bundle when data is missing. Results appear automatically in the relevant section when Amazon completes them.
What does Amazon net proceeds mean?
Amazon net proceeds are what Amazon recorded after Amazon fees and adjustments. Product cost, advertising and external expenses are not included, so it is not profit.
How are What-If and profit estimates calculated?
They use explicit seller inputs, such as product cost, together with compatible returned Amazon data. They are hypothetical scenarios, not actual Amazon results, predictions or guarantees.
What happens when Amazon does not return an image?
The dashboard shows an intentional fallback. Image not returned in that dashboard view does not necessarily mean the Amazon listing has no image, and AmazonIQ does not recommend an image edit without explicit evidence.
What happens when a role is not authorized?
The affected dataset remains unavailable. An existing seller may need to renew Amazon authorization when approved roles change, but AmazonIQ does not treat missing role access as permission to fabricate an answer.
How is unavailable data explained?
AmazonIQ labels missing, ineligible, pending, rate-limited, or unavailable sources and explains the next safe investigation where possible. It does not replace missing values with zero or invented metrics.
