Dashboard and GPT Together: Two Independent Ways to Investigate Your Amazon Business
How one seller-authorized AmazonIQ connection can support a structured visual view and a separate conversational investigation without either system reading the other.
A visual operating view and a conversational investigation solve different problems. The Dashboard helps an operator scan structured evidence. AmazonIQ GPT helps the user ask a focused question and follow the returned answer. AmazonIQ offers both experiences without technically merging them.
The Seller Intelligence Dashboard and AmazonIQ GPT are two independent systems. The Dashboard does not feed the GPT, and the GPT does not read the Dashboard. One seller-authorized AmazonIQ connection may support both, but each resolves the active workspace and retrieves supported data through its own server-side path.
One authorization can support two experiences
After an AmazonIQ user authorizes a regional seller account, the website stores the owned connection securely and verifies participating marketplaces. The active regional workspace gives both experiences the same server-owned seller, region and marketplace context without sending credentials to the browser or ChatGPT.
Sharing the authorized connection does not mean sharing rendered output. The systems do not copy cards, screenshots or chat answers between each other. Their common foundation is the authorized AmazonIQ connection, not a synchronized user interface.
The Dashboard is the structured visual operating view
The Seller Intelligence Dashboard organizes supported returned Amazon data into sections such as Overview, Orders and Sales, Finance and Fees, Amazon Money Flow, Products and Listings, Product 360, Pricing, Inventory and FBA, inbound activity, returns, performance signals, What-If and Data Coverage.
It is useful for scanning the current available evidence, moving from a broad signal to an exact product, and seeing source, period, currency, freshness and actual-versus-estimated labels beside the result. Deeper sections load when requested rather than requiring every possible dataset at once.
AmazonIQ GPT is the conversational investigation
AmazonIQ GPT uses its own OAuth-protected Actions to answer supported questions about connection status, marketplace overview, orders and items, sales, finance, pricing, product performance, listings and issues, FBA inventory, movements, storage, returns, reimbursements, seller performance and capability coverage.
A conversation can narrow a period, SKU, ASIN or business event and continue with follow-up questions. The GPT can be used through ChatGPT from a computer or phone and can communicate in the user's preferred language, while returned identifiers and monetary context remain precise.
Complementary does not mean identical
The Dashboard currently includes depth that is not exposed through explicit GPT Actions, including the complete Product 360 join, Product Type requirements, Listings Restrictions, Featured Offer Expected Price, Customer Voice, Seller Feedback, Promotion Performance and inbound box or item inspection.
The GPT has a conversational multi-source investigation operation, but that operation does not silently create schema support for those Dashboard-only areas. Public expectations should follow the current operation and response definitions, not assume complete parity.
A workflow from visual signal to focused question
An operator might notice a sales movement, listing issue, fee change or inventory state in the Dashboard. The operator can then open AmazonIQ GPT separately and ask a supported question about the relevant period, SKU, ASIN or capability. The GPT does not receive the card that prompted the question, so the user should state the useful context.
The reverse also works. A GPT answer may identify a returned listing issue or inventory state worth inspecting visually. The user can open the Dashboard and navigate to the relevant section. Neither transition is automatic, and neither system treats the other's output as verified source data.
Use screenshots when they add the right evidence
When authorized structured data is available, the user does not need to repeatedly upload isolated Seller Central screenshots just to recover the same marketplace, product or period context. The Dashboard and GPT can each retrieve their supported view through AmazonIQ.
Screenshots still matter for visual problems, unsupported screens or evidence of what appeared at a specific moment. A careful workflow says what came from a screenshot, what came from an authorized operation and what still needs verification.
Read-only boundaries apply to both
Neither experience changes prices, listings, inventory, orders, fulfillment or buyer messages. Neither creates a shipment, issues a refund, requests feedback or performs listing remediation. What-If scenarios remain hypothetical, and recommendations remain under the seller's control.
Tokens, signed report URLs, buyer PII, addresses, emails and payment information are not public product outputs. Amazon Ads remains a separate authorization and product path. Neither experience claims all Amazon data, continuous synchronization or guaranteed accuracy.
See. Investigate. Verify. Decide.
This operating principle keeps the two experiences useful without confusing their roles. See the current available evidence. Investigate a bounded question. Verify the marketplace, period, currency, source, freshness and definitions. Decide only after the limits and business context are clear.
- Select the intended active regional workspace on AmazonIQ.
- Use the Dashboard to scan the structured operating view.
- Open AmazonIQ GPT separately for a supported focused question.
- State the product, period or signal that prompted the question.
- Compare compatible sources and keep unlike currencies separate.
- Verify material conclusions in Seller Central and business records.
- Make approved changes through an authorized seller workflow.
Choose the experience that fits the next question
Use the Dashboard when you need a structured visual review, exact product joins or a clear capability-status map. Use AmazonIQ GPT when a supported question benefits from natural-language exploration and follow-up. Use both when moving between a broad signal and a focused investigation saves time.
NAVINES welcomes feedback about where each experience helps and where the current boundary still creates manual work. The goal is not to blur the systems together. It is to make each one clearer, safer and more useful for the seller decision that follows.
AmazonIQ provides read-only analysis and guidance. Sellers remain responsible for every marketplace and business decision.
