TalkToData: Connect Your Business Channels to Dedicated GPT Experiences
A practical guide to investigating supported commerce, analytics, payment, accounting, email, spreadsheet, advertising, and infrastructure data through channel-specific GPT experiences.
Business questions rarely live in one system. A store team may review orders in Shopify, WooCommerce, or eBay, measure acquisition in Google Analytics and Google Ads, inspect search visibility in Google Search Console, reconcile payments in PayPal, and maintain accounting records in QuickBooks or Xero. Email, spreadsheets, product feeds, domains, and infrastructure add more context, but they also add more places to search.
TalkToData is a separate NAVINES product designed for this fragmented reality. It provides dedicated connection experiences for supported business channels and a GPT experience shaped around each connected source. The aim is not to pretend that every system contains the same fields. It is to make the data that a specific authorized connection makes available easier to question, inspect, and verify.
NAVINES IQ and TalkToData are separate NAVINES products. Their accounts, connections, and data are not shared automatically. NAVINES IQ focuses on Amazon seller intelligence, while TalkToData supports other approved business channels. Connecting one product does not authorize the other, and neither product silently transfers data into the other.
Why business data becomes fragmented
Commerce, analytics, search, advertising, payment, accounting, communication, spreadsheet, and infrastructure tools each answer a different part of the operating picture. Their terminology, date ranges, currencies, identities, and retention periods can differ. A useful investigation therefore starts by naming the source and question instead of treating every system as one interchangeable database.
Fragmentation creates practical work: opening multiple dashboards, exporting files, checking definitions, and comparing periods before a team can decide what deserves attention. TalkToData reduces part of that navigation by providing a dedicated conversational surface for supported connections, while keeping the source boundary visible.
What TalkToData is
TalkToData is a NAVINES product for connecting supported business channels to dedicated GPT experiences. The user chooses a supported channel, authorizes or configures the relevant connection, and opens the GPT created for that connection. Questions are then grounded in the data made available through that specific authorized source.
The experience is investigative rather than universal. Availability depends on the connected account, permissions, source APIs, returned fields, history, and current service limits. TalkToData does not promise that every source returns every requested record or that every question can be answered.
Why each channel has its own GPT
An e-commerce catalog, an analytics property, a payment account, and a DNS zone do not share one vocabulary or operating model. Channel-specific GPT experiences can use clearer language, safer query boundaries, and more relevant question patterns for the connected system.
TalkToData is not presented as one universal GPT that automatically combines every connector. Each supported channel has its own dedicated experience. Any cross-system work must be explicitly designed and authorized rather than inferred from the existence of separate connections.
Commerce connections
Current commerce connection experiences include eBay, WooCommerce, and Shopify. Depending on the channel and authorized data, users may investigate available orders, products, listings, inventory, and store activity. The exact fields and history vary by platform, account, permission, and connector implementation.
A focused workflow might begin with one store question, such as identifying an order pattern or checking available product context. Results should remain tied to the source, period, currency, and definitions that the connected commerce channel provides.
Analytics, search, advertising, and product feeds
Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Ads, and Google Merchant Center provide different views of customer acquisition and product visibility. Depending on the approved connection, users may investigate available traffic, search visibility, campaign, conversion, feed, or Merchant Center signals.
These systems do not expose identical metrics, attribution rules, or histories. A response should identify which channel supplied the evidence and avoid presenting unavailable fields as zero. Advertising and analytics data should also be interpreted with the account's own measurement configuration in mind.
Payments, finance, and accounting connections
TalkToData currently provides dedicated connection experiences for PayPal, QuickBooks, and Xero. Available questions may concern payments, transactions, invoices, balances, accounting records, or other financial signals returned by the relevant connection.
Financial data requires careful definitions, periods, currencies, and reconciliation. TalkToData can assist investigation, but it does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice. Material conclusions should be verified in the source system and, where appropriate, with a qualified professional.
Business operations and infrastructure
Email, Microsoft Excel, and Cloudflare represent three very different operating sources. An Email connection can support bounded inbox investigation where authorized. Microsoft Excel can provide structured spreadsheet context. Cloudflare can expose available domain, DNS, security, or infrastructure signals according to the connected account and approved scope.
The dedicated experience matters because a message thread, a workbook, and a DNS record require different questions and safety expectations. TalkToData keeps the connected channel visible instead of flattening those sources into one ambiguous response.
Custom Connector by request
A business may request a Custom Connector for an approved internal API, business system, or workflow that is not part of the current standard connection set. NAVINES first needs to understand the system, authorization model, data boundaries, security requirements, and intended questions.
A request does not guarantee acceptance, implementation, timing, or complete field coverage. Any connector must be reviewed before it can become an authorized TalkToData experience.
TalkToData and NAVINES IQ are separate
NAVINES IQ focuses on read-only Amazon seller intelligence through its own account, regional Amazon authorization, Dashboard, and NAVINES IQ GPT. TalkToData focuses on supported non-NAVINES IQ business channels through separate connection experiences.
Using NAVINES IQ does not create a TalkToData account or authorize a TalkToData connector. Using TalkToData does not authorize NAVINES IQ or change a NAVINES IQ workspace. Their accounts, permissions, connections, and data are not shared automatically.
A practical TalkToData workflow
Start with one source and one business question. Confirm the connection and its scope, ask a focused question, then narrow the investigation through follow-ups. Keep the channel, period, currency, definitions, and data limitations visible before deciding what requires attention.
- Choose a supported business channel.
- Authorize or configure the relevant connection.
- Open the dedicated GPT for that channel.
- Ask one focused question and then a bounded follow-up.
- Verify the available evidence and source definitions.
- Decide what requires attention.
- Use the source system for any approved action.
Availability and limitations
Available data depends on the connected channel, account, authorization, source API, returned fields, retention window, and connector support. Different channels expose different histories and may use different definitions. An empty result can mean no matching data, unavailable access, or a source-specific limitation; it should not be replaced with a fabricated value.
Better connected context can improve grounding, but it does not guarantee a perfect answer, complete coverage, real-time synchronization, or a correct business decision. Users remain responsible for verifying evidence and for every action taken in the underlying business system.
Explore the next useful connection
Explore TalkToData to see the current dedicated connection experiences, or contact NAVINES to discuss a supported workflow. NAVINES is happy to learn which business systems take the most time to investigate and which additional connection would be useful.
A good starting point is not every system at once. Choose the channel that creates the most repeated investigation work, connect it deliberately, and test whether a focused GPT experience makes the evidence easier to understand.
NAVINES IQ provides read-only analysis and guidance. Sellers remain responsible for every marketplace and business decision.
